James Phillip Kinateder

James (Jim) Phillip Kinateder, 66, of Janesville died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 1, 2014 shortly after arrival at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. He was born at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital on November 23, 1947, the son of Joseph and Anna (Lamb) Kinateder. Jim grew up on his parents farm and continued farming on his own into the 1980’s. He then worked for E & R Surge and when the company split in 1989, Jim went with the dairy end of the of the business which became known as Tri-County Dairy Supply. Jim had a love of farms and a respect for all the farmers he did work for. His interest included photography, often taking pictures of trains (another love of his) while he and his wife were out on weekend drives. Jim loved to create with his hands and could be found doing woodworking projects. He was also well known for his homemade pancakes and waffles. The true joy in his life was watching his children grow up – he was so proud of them.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Connie (Francis) of twenty-eight years, his son, Bill Long of Janesville, daughters, Barbara (Raffi) Mnatzakanian of El Paso, Texas, Anna Kinateder of Abilene, Texas, grandchildren, Alix Long, Dylan Long, Anabelle Long, Vartan Mnatzakanian, Nairi Mnatzakanian; nieces: Cathy (John) Hewitt, Crystal Francis, nephew, Chris (Julie) Francis; brothers-in-law, John (Carole) Francis, Rick Francis and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Bill) Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Kinateder and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with his brother-in-law, John Francis officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7th at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
